Aiden Laraith

Aiden Laraith, family photograph

Aiden Laraith writes about the questions he cannot put down.

He grew up on Star Trek and Stargate, and on the science fiction of its golden age, where the pleasure was never the hardware but the argument underneath it. What a technology asks of the people who accept it, and what it quietly asks of the people who come after.

He is a father of three and an asker of many questions. Most of them begin with what happens next, and very few of them have a comfortable answer.

He writes the long way round, at the scale of a lifetime, because the cost of a decision rarely arrives in the same decade the decision is made.

The Grace Period is his first novel.
